LEADING TO FREEDOM

Welcome to Leading To Freedom, my blog, and a space for women in leadership to put down the load for a moment, be real about the day-to-day challenges at work and beyond, and find the freedom to release the struggle and enjoy life and leading.

In here, you’ll find stories from my experience as an HR leader and coach, working with women I think you’ll be able to relate to.  I know I can.  I’ll also share with you my own experiences on my path to lead with love, humor, and wisdom.   It is a journey still very much underway.

So let’s embrace that perfect imperfection that makes each of us unique and amazing.  Let’s see what there is to learn when we relax, step out of the stress, and make some simple shifts that lead to true freedom.  Let’s see how to love this changing world and the journey we are on.

Leave a comment if there is a topic you’d like to see covered in this space.  I’d love to know what is on your mind.

Here’s to all the difficult people out there.

Here’s to all the difficult people out there.

Of all the professional challenges we encounter, those that have to do with other people—other difficult people, to be more precise—seem to trouble us the most.   Yes, there may be some more technical challenges to the work we do—but the solutions...

Five Questions to Drive Culture Change, Bit by Bit

Five Questions to Drive Culture Change, Bit by Bit

Frameworks don't work if they feel too heavy to lift off the ground. My dad was an engineer-a very smart man who was good at what he did.  As a kid, every so often I would get curious and ask him to tell me about his job.  His face would light up...

Are You in Default Mode?

Are You in Default Mode?

Default (di-‘folt): “to make a selection automatically in the absence of a choice made by the user.” In the realm of computers, default mode is where we land when no specific choice is made.  But I have been reflecting lately on how we humans have our own version of...
